Week 6: Revised Animatic

Here's my revised animatic! No audio, though. I focused on revising the visuals of the bathroom scene and, now that I know where I need jokes, I can update my script.





I need another joke for the Tikbalang when Rose bumps into him. Also, the mermaids need gossip and the duwende is going to have Popeye like mumbling. I'm not planning on having the manananggal or pugot talk.

I'd love suggestions for dialogue!

    This looks great, Sydney! You know it is working when you can read the action even without dialogue!

    One small thing that keeps on bothering me is the drawing of the bucket that catches the water. The base needs to be a bit more circular.

    I love the little man bringing out the hose when she walks into the stall- funny!

    I wonder if you could have a closer reaction shot after everything disappears in the end? Also, it would be nice to see a CU of her foot taking a step and leaving the colorful footprint.

    This is looking really fun,

    I love how she hang out with her feet in the water after the drama, when the film ends it makes me feel like it a magical place she would go back if she could.

    When she goes into the washroom I feel like the pan shows to much. It so fun when she see meets the ladies in the water then backs into the magical pony thing ,tiphlong right, anyway I felt like you were giving us the same thing twice. Once in the pan then again when she find her way.

    I all so felt that she has to pee really bad, and when she does we don't see her relief. I know its tricky.

    Thanks the other day in class when you asked about character design. I was a little over loaded with midterm but here is the addgress for the movie I am going to "try" and get close to.

    I can honestly say I've never seen or even heard of a film quite like yours, Sydney.

    The panning exposition shot of the bathroom is great. The rainbow toilet thing is great too. But my favorite shot is the gnome guy with the hose. I just have to ask...will the mermaids be hot?
